9:00 AM - 12:00 PM    Summer Art Camps - Grades 1-3 (June 10th-June 14th)
Each lesson is professionally developed and the projects are created by the art instructor. They will be associated with a famous American, Folk Tale, American artist or American symbol, in history. The kids will have an independent project during down time. It is possible that all of the projects listed will not be completed because of limited time. The instructor will include a painting project, clay project, sculpture and drawing. Grades 1-3 Participants will draw subject matter associated with American history, such as George Washington, Johnny Appleseed and Paul Bunyan, Fourth of July. They will identify Symbols of America, draw them and apply them to their art. A drawing book will be compiled. They will become aware of various art works and artists. They will be able to mix colors and be knowledgeable of the various brushes and uses before painting.
